Mashed Potato Casserole
Mashed Potato Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 c. peeled, quartered potatoes (2 1/2 lb.), 1/2 c. miracle whip salad dressing, 1 pkg. philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened (8 oz.), 1 tsp. onion powder and 3/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Add potatoes and enough water to cover in 4 quart saucepan. Bring to boil.
Reduce heat to medium; cook 25 to 30 minutes or until tender.
Drain well.
Mash potatoes, gradually stirring in salad dressing, cream cheese, onion powder, salt and pepper until light and fluffy.
Spoon into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Cover tightly and freeze.
To serve, thaw casserole.
Heat oven to 350°.
1-1 1/4 hours or until thoroughly heated.
Serves 10 to 12.
(Bake at 350° for 45 minutes if you don't freeze casserole.)
