Cook granulated sugar, salt and water to a temperature of 238Β° or until syrup spins a thread.
Pour slowly over beaten egg whites, beating mixture as you do.
While icing is still hot, fold in marshmallows, which have been cut in pieces.

Cover cake.
Use your favorite white cake recipe.
