Marinara Sauce
Marinara Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. olive oil, 2 garlic cloves (or instant), 2 c. finely chopped onions (or instant), 3 1/2 c. italian plum tomatoes (1 lb. 12 oz. can) and 2 c. tomato purée (one 15 oz. can), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Heat the oil in a large saucepan and add the garlic and onions.
Cook, stirring until the onions are light brown.
Add the tomatoes, tomato purée, tomato paste, water and seasonings. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Leftover sauce may be frozen.
