Mari's Green and Gold Sauerkraut Salad
Mari'S Green And Gold Sauerkraut Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large can crunchy sauerkraut (1 lb. 12 oz.), 1/4 c. sliced green onions (including some of the tops), 1/2 c. finely shredded carrot, 1/2 c. each diced celery and green pepper and 1/4 c. white wine vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Thoroughly rinse the sauerkraut with warm water.
Drain.
Mix with onions, celery, carrot and green pepper.
In a saucepan, mix the vinegar, oil, sugar and water.
Heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour while still warm over sauerkraut mixture and mix well.
Cover and chill 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
