Marco Island Cookies

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolk, flour and vanilla. Make 1-inch balls.
With a fork, press down middle and then across.
Press a pecan into center.
Brush each cookie with a slightly beaten egg white.
Bake in 350Β° oven approximately 12 to 15 minutes.
