Maple-Glazed Carrots
Maple-Glazed Carrots is an easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 lb. carrots of uniform size, cut in 3 x 1/2 x 1/2-inch strips, 6 c. boiling water, 2 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. firmly packed dark brown sugar and 1/2 c. maple syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cook carrots in boiling water, covered, 20 minutes or just until tender.
Drain.
Prepare glaze.
Melt butter in large heavy skillet.
Add sugar and syrup.
Simmer, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes or until thick and syrupy.
When carrots are done dump into skillet; toss until glossy.
Keep warm.
Serves 10.
