Manicotti Or Large Seashells is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 2 slices sandwich bread, cubed, 1/2 c. milk, 1 egg, beaten and 1 1/4 c. shredded mozzarella cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In skillet, brown beef.
Remove from heat; drain off fat. Combine bread and milk and let stand 2 minutes.
Add bread and milk mixture to beef.
Stir in egg, Mozzarella cheese, parsley, salt and pepper; set aside.
Cook manicotti or shells according to package.
Spread 1 1/2 cups sauce in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Fill manicotti/shells with beef mixture and place in single layer on sauce in prepared dish.
Cover with remaining sauce and top with Parmesan cheese.
Bake, covered, at 350Β° for 45 minutes. Serves 8 manicotti or shells.
