Manicotti
Manicotti is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 pkg. manicotti noodles, 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 6 oz. can tomato paste, 8 oz. can tomato sauce and 24 oz. can whole tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook noodles as directed.
Brown beef in skillet.
Separate browned beef in half.
Add to beef in skillet tomato paste, sauce, whole tomatoes (quartered), garlic, parsley, basil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and oregano.
Simmer 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Combine Ricotta cheese, egg, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, 1 cup Mozzarella cheese and remaining beef in separate bowl.
Pour 1/2 of sauce mixture in bottom of 12 x 8-inch baking dish.
Stuff manicotti noodles with cheese mixture.
Place in baking dish.
Pour remaining sauce over stuffed noodles.
Add 1 cup Mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
