Mamie Eisenhower's Fudge
Mamie Eisenhower'S Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 1/2 c. sugar, pinch of salt, 2 tbsp. butter, 1 tall can evaporated milk and 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Boil sugar, salt, butter and milk for 6 minutes.
Put chocolates, marshmallow cream and nuts in a bowl.
Pour boiling syrup over ingredients in bowl; beat until chocolate is all melted and pour into a 9 x 12-inch pan.
Let stand a few hours before cutting.
Store on a tin box.
