Mama's Snickerdoodles

Grease cookie sheet. Cream the butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until it is light and fluffy.

Eggs and vanilla; beat well.

Sift the flour, of tartar, soda and salt together.

Blend into creamed mixture.

Combine cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar; roll balls of dough into mixture to coat. Mash with fingers (this pretty) or with a glass. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.
