Mace Cake(A Favorite with Men)
Mace Cake(A Favorite With Men) is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter (2 sq.), 5 large eggs, 1 3/4 c. flour, sifted and measured, 1 tbsp. ground mace and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cream butter thoroughly, then add sugar gradually, continuing to beat until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating at least one minute after each addition.
Continue beating well after all eggs are added and while sifting together flour and mace 3 times, add flour to creamed mixture and beat on medium speed until blended.
Spoon into a Bundt pan that has been generously greased with shortening and dusted with flour.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes or until done.
Turn out of pan immediately.
Cool and serve uniced.
