Macaroon Kiss Cookies
Macaroon Kiss Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. butter, 3/4 c. sugar, 2 tsp. almond extract, 1 1/4 c. flour and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream butter, softened cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolk, almond extract and orange juice.
Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in 3 cups flaked coconut.
Cover dough and chill about 1 hour.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll balls in remaining coconut.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom.
Remove from oven and press a chocolate kiss into center of each cookie.
Allow to cool 1 minute.
Carefully remove cookies from sheet and cool until chocolate kisses are firm. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
