Macaroni Puff
Macaroni Puff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. small elbow macaroni, cooked, 1 1/2 c. milk, scalded, 1 c. soft bread crumbs, 2 c. grated sharp cheese and 3 egg yolks, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Pour the hot milk over the bread crumbs.
Reserve 1/2 cup of cheese and add remaining to milk mixture; cover and let stand until cheese melts.
Add cooked macaroni, egg yolks, pimiento, butter, parsley, onion and salt.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff, but not set.
Fold into macaroni mixture. Pour into an ungreased baking or soufflé dish.
Bake, uncovered, in 325° oven about 50 minutes or until set.
Top with remaining cheese and return to oven until melted.
Serve immediately.
