Macaroni-Cheese Puff
Macaroni-Cheese Puff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. small elbow macaroni, 1 1/2 c. skim milk, 1 1/2 c. shredded american cheese (6 oz.), 3 beaten egg yolks and 1 c. soft bread crumbs (1 1/2 slices bread), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook macaroni in boiling, salted water until tender.
Drain. In saucepan, combine milk, cheese and salt.
Stir over low heat until cheese melts.
Stir about 1 cup of the hot mixture into egg yolks.
Return to hot mixture in saucepan.
Blend well. Stir in macaroni, bread crumbs, pimento and onion.
