Luscious Lime Pie
Luscious Lime Pie is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. gelatin, 1/2 c. water, cold, dash of salt, 4 egg yolks, beaten and 1 (6 oz.) can frozen limeade concentrate, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In top of double boiler soften gelatin in cold water. Add dash and egg yolks; cook and stir over hot (not boiling) until mixture is slightly thick.
Remove from heat stir in concentrate.
Chill, stirring occasionally, until mixture mounds slightly when spooned.
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
In gelatin mixture, then whipped cream.
Add few drops food coloring.
Into cooled pastry shell. Chill until firm. Top with whipped cream and lime slices and pomegranate seed (optional).
Makes 1 pie.
