Egg whites until frothy, gradually adding 1/2 cup sugar. Beat very stiff. Sift remaining sugar, flour, soda salt into another bowl. Add oil and half of buttermilk, egg yolks and chocolate.
Beat 150 strokes.
Fold in meringue.
Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350Β°.
