πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Instructions

Cream butter and cream cheese until smooth.

Spread mixture on bottom of large, wide bowl.

Sift flour and sugar onto mixture. Gently knead until blended by hand.

Minimal handling of dough is necessary.

Divide dough into 2 parts.

Flatten one onto a sheet of waxed paper about 16-inches long.

(Dough should be extremely soft but not sticky.

If sticky, dust with flour before placing dough on waxed paper.)

Cover with another sheet of waxed paper.

With rolling pin, spread dough out almost to edges forming rectangle about 10 x 13-inches.

Trim edges.

Transfer dough and papers to baking sheet and chill for 1 to 2 hours.

Remove top paper, turn dough upside down onto baking sheet.

Remove other paper.

Cut into 2 1/2-inch squares.

Put tiny dab of jam on each square and fold in the corners to form an envelope.

If dough becomes too soft while working with it, return it briefly to refrigerator.

Seal the top flap with a red cinnamon heart.

Repeat for other half of dough. Bake in a 350Β° oven for 15 minutes or until edges just begin to color.

Transfer to rack to cool.

Makes 20 love letters.
