Lemon Sponge Pies

First beat whites until stiff; set aside.
Then I cream shortening; egg yolks, lemon juice and rind. Add milk, then sprinkle flour over the top and blend into liquid mixture.
Of all add egg whites.
Bake at 375Β° for 40 to 45 minutes. Check on them as I find sometimes they will brown more quickly.
