Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in flour, egg yolks, lemon peel and juice, and milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff, fold into first mixture.
Pour into pie shell and bake in preheated oven.

Reduce heat to 300° and bake 45 minutes until golden or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
