Lemon Meringue

Beat egg whites, then add 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and vinegar, then add 1 1/2 cups sugar gradually and continue beating. Don't beat too stiff.
Cover back of a large cookie sheet with foil. Spread egg white mixture over foil.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 hour. Cool in oven with heat off and door open, very gradually, about 1 hour.
