Lemon Bread
Lemon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. melted butter, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 1/2 c. sifted plain flour and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Grease 2 loaf pans and line with wax paper.
Mix 1 cup sugar, butter and lemon extract.
Beat in eggs.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
Beat just enough to blend.
Fold in nuts and lemon rind.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Combine juice and 1/2 cup sugar.
Mix well.
Remove baked bread from pan while hot; drizzle with lemon juice mixture over top and into cracks.
Do not cut for 24 hours.
Freezes well.
