Layered Mexican Dip
Layered Mexican Dip is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can refried beans, 1 jar picante sauce, 1 lb. ground beef, drained, 2 oz. monterey jack cheese with jalapeño peppers and 1 can chopped tomatoes, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Brown ground beef.
Mix refried beans and 1/4 of the jar of picante sauce.
Layer in 9 x 12-inch dish.
Grate 1/2 of cheese and layer over beans.
Mix 3/4 cup picante sauce, ground beef and tomatoes*, cumin and salt together.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Layer over cheese and beans.
Top with remaining grated cheese.
Cook in oven for 20 minutes.
Serve with side order of tortilla chips.
