Layered Enchilada Pie
Layered Enchilada Pie is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. hamburger, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1 tbsp. chili powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 400Β°.
In frying pan, cook ground beef and onion until beef is brown.
Drain well.
Stri in seasoning, chilies, olives and tomato sauce.
In 2 1/2-quart round casserole dish, alternate layers of buttered tortillas, meat mixture and cheese, ending with cheese sprinkled on top.
Add water and cover with olives and chopped green onion.
Bake 30 minutes.
Serve with sour cream or guacamole.
This recipe can be prepared ahead of time.
You would add water just before cooking.
