Large Pound Cake
Large Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. oleo or 2 sticks butter, 1 c. crisco, 8 eggs, 3 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted and 2 3/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cream the sugar, Crisco and oleo or margarine; add eggs, one at a time.
Then add flour a little at a time.
Also add part of the milk until you use all the flour and the milk, beating well with a mixer.
Add vanilla extract, if desired, and cream all well. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan and pour batter in pan.
Cook at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or at 350° for 1 hour.
