Kosher Style Dill Pickles
Kosher Style Dill Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 peck 4 to 5-inch cucumbers, 1 1/2 c. salt, 3 large pieces fresh dill or 1 tbsp. dill seed (to each 1/2 gal.), 1 hot pepper and 3 pt. cider vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Pack cucumbers in jar and pour over, after boiling, vinegar and water.
Put in each jar dill, grape leaves, garlic, pepper and alum.
Cap and seal.
(Green tomatoes, bell pepper and sliced onions may be added too.)
