Kosher Dill Pickles
Kosher Dill Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 30 to 40 medium cucumbers, 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. salt, 3 tbsp. pickling spice and 1 qt. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Wash and cut cucumbers in half lengthwise; pack in hot jars with the last 5 ingredients put in each pint jar.
Combine sugar, salt, vinegar and water.
Tie pickling spices in a cheesecloth bag; add to vinegar mixture.
Simmer 15 minutes.
Heat to boiling and pour over cucumbers; leave 1/4-inch headspace.
Adjust caps. Process pints and quarts 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
Yield: about 7 pints.
