Key Lime Pie
Key Lime Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 eggs, separated (separate 1 egg white by itself), 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated), 1/2 c. lime juice, green food coloring and 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Beat the egg yolks; stir in the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice and a few drops of green food coloring.
In a small bowl, stiffly beat 1 egg white; fold into the milk mixture.
Turn into baked and cooled 8 or 9-inch pastry shell.
Beat 3 egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy; gradually beat in the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until meringue is stiff, but not dry. Spread on top of pie, sealing carefully to edge of shell.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 15 minutes or until meringue is golden.
Cool. Chill before serving.
