Keaton's Blue Ribbon Cornbread
Keaton'S Blue Ribbon Cornbread is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. flour, 1 c. cornmeal, 4 tsp. baking powder, 3/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Sift flour once, measure and add baking powder, sugar and salt, and sift again.
Add cornmeal and mix well.
Combine eggs and milk.
Add to dry ingredients; mix well.
Add shortening. Bake in well-greased corn ear pans or greased breadstick pans in hot oven at 425Β° for 20 or 25 minutes, or until done.
Makes 2 dozen corn ear sticks or 3 dozen short corn sticks.
