Kay's Banana Nut Bread
Kay'S Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lg. or 3 sm. bananas, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening or margarine, 2 lg. eggs and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mash bananas.
Add sugar and shortening and mix well, by hand or using a mixer. Add the eggs and mix well.
Add the flour, baking soda, salt and nuts and mix well.
Pour into a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for approximately 1 hour.
Test with a toothpick for a clean test.
Remove from oven and cool on a rack for 10 minutes before removing the bread from the pan.
Cool right side up and slice when cool.
