Jumbo Chocolate Snappers
Jumbo Chocolate Snappers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels, 2/3 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg and 1/4 c. corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Place chocolate morsels in top of double boiler; bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat.
Cream shortening; gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Add chocolate, egg and corn syrup, beating well.
Combine flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture, beating just until blended.
Shape dough into balls, using about 3 tablespoons of dough for each ball and roll in sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 1/2 inches apart; bake at 350Β° for 18 minutes.
Cool on cookie sheets for 2 minutes.
Remove to wire racks and cool completely.

About 14 jumbo cookies.
