Jewish Apple Cake

Cream oil and sugar; blend in eggs.
Sift together the flour and baking powder.
Mix into creamed mixture.
Toss together apples, cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar.
Grease and flour a tube pan. Pour 1/2 of batter into pan.
Layer 1/2 of apples on the batter. Pour remaining batter over apple layer.
Top with remaining apples. Bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes in preheated 350Β° oven.
