Jelly Roll
Jelly Roll is an moderately easy baked good you can prepare in about 1 hour 32 minutes. Made with c. sifted flour, . baking powder, . salt, eggs and c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored; add baking powder, salt and sugar and beat again.
Fold in flour and vanilla.
Line a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan with waxed paper.
Bake at 400Β° for 13 minutes.
While cake is baking, place a towel, a little longer then the pan, on the table and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.
When cake is done, immediately turn upside-down on the powdered sugar.
Remove waxed paper from bottom of pan.
Fold side of towel over cake and roll together to form a roll.
When cool, unroll cake and spread with your favorite jelly or preserves. Roll cake again and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Slice to serve.
