Jam Cake

Made with 3 3/4 c. plain flour, sifted, 2 tsp. each: baking soda, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves, 1 tsp. each: vanilla and lemon flavoring, 2 c. sugar and 1 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cream softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add beaten egg yolks.
Sift flour, soda and spices together.
Rinse raisins and drain.
Combine with chopped nuts in a separate bowl.
Add approximately 1/8 cup of flour and spice mixture to nuts and raisins.
Mix well.
