Jalapeño Hot Cornbread
Jalapeño Hot Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. self-rising cornmeal, 1 small can hot chili peppers, 2 c. milk, 3 eggs, beaten and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In mixing bowl, whip eggs and milk together.
Add all liquid ingredients.
Mix together salt, sugar, baking powder and meal. Add this to liquid mixture and mix well.
Stir in grated cheese. Pour into oiled 13 x 9 pan.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
This bread freezes well.
Cut into squares; wrap in foil to freeze.
