Italian Filled Cookies
Italian Filled Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. all-purpose flour, 8 tbsp. margarine or 1/2 c. crisco, 6 tsp. baking powder, 1 c. sugar and 4 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream sugar and margarine or Crisco real well.
Add eggs, vanilla and milk.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Add liquids.
Refrigerate overnight.
Roll into 1-inch balls.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet in a 350Β° oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
Cut cookies in half as soon as they come out of the oven.
Let cool; then fill with about 1/2 teaspoon of preserves.
Frost with different colored frostings and sprinkle top with nuts or colored sugars.
