Italian Cream Cheese Cake
Italian Cream Cheese Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 sticks oleo, 1 c. buttermilk and 7 oz. pkg. coconut, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Set aside.
Beat egg whites in a small mixing bowl and set aside.
In large bowl, mix 2 sticks oleo, sugar, egg yolks and buttermilk.
Alternately add flour mixture, then add vanilla, coconut and pecans.
Put in greased and floured 9-inch pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool before icing.
