Made with 3 c. flour, 2 c. confectioners sugar (1 1/2 c. for not as sweet, if preferred), 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 lb. shortening (butter or margarine), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Work in butter until it disappears.
Add eggs and vanilla and knead until soft and pliable.
Pinch off piece of dough and roll into length of about 4 to 5-inches, twist and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
