Italian Casserole
Italian Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground meat, 1 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce, 1/3 c. water and 1 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a 12-inch skillet, cook ground meat and onion until onion is tender, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add next 7 ingredients; cook 2 minutes to blend flavors.
In a 13 x 9-inch baking dish, evenly spoon 1/3 meat mixture.
Arrange potatoes on top.
Repeat with meat mixture.
Cover dish tightly with foil. Bake in 375Β° oven for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
Remove foil; sprinkle mixture evenly with Mozzarella cheese.
Bake 10 minutes or until cheese melts.
Let stand 10 minutes for easier cutting.
