Irish Bran Bread
Irish Bran Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. white flour (pillsbury's all-purpose), 1 c. unprocessed bran (quaker), 1 level tsp. baking soda, 1/4 tsp. salt and 3 tsp. margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Make a circular hole in the middle and add buttermilk while mixing it with the flour in a circular motion.
Continue doing this until all is formed into a cake of dough.
Remove from the bowl.
Shake some flour on the counter and knead a little with hands.
Then form into a circle or round ball and flatten out a little.
Cut into four quarters and place on a floured pan.
When oven has reached 400°, put bread in it and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from pan and let cool.
Then enjoy a delicious slice of Irish Bran Bread coated with butter!
