Inexpensive Fruitcake
Inexpensive Fruitcake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 1 1/4 c. water, 1/3 c. shortening, 2 c. raisins and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Mix the first 6 ingredients and cloves, if used, in a saucepan.
Bring to boil for 3 minutes.
Then add a mixture of soda, salt and water.
Sift together flour and baking powder and blend into cake.
Grease or use Pam and spray the little size pans, 3 of them, or you can use big loaf pan, also.
Bake at 325Β° for 45 minutes or until done.
