Illinois, Arkansas Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising flour, 1 1/4 c. milk or buttermilk and 1 heaping tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix well.
Should be a medium texture, not runny.
Pour onto floured surface.
Sprinkle flour over top of dough and pull flour around biscuit dough, then flip and pat down to 1/2-inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter and place onto greased cookie sheet. Grease tops.
Place into preheated oven at 450Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Brown bottoms, then put on top shelf and brown top about 5 to 10 minutes until done.
Serve hot.
