Iced Cookies(From The Turpin Family - Shared By Mary Erle Turpin) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 egg, 1 c. sour cream and 1/2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and beat.
Mix dry ingredients.
Add alternately with sour cream; add vanilla.
Roll in a ball.
Cover with waxed paper.
Chill at least 1 hour.
(May put in freezer for a very short time.)
Roll about 1/2-inch thick on a lightly floured board.
Bake about 12 minutes in a 350Β° oven.
