Ice Water Chocolate Cake
Ice Water Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening (crisco, butter or oleo) plus 3 tbsp. shortening, 2 1/4 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 3 eggs and 9 tbsp. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream until fluffy first three ingredients.
Add eggs and continue beating until light and fluffy.
Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Beat dry ingredients and creamed mixture alternately with 1 1/2 cups ice water.
Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 or 50 minutes.
Use chocolate or vanilla icing to top cake before serving.
