Preheat oven to 375°.
Brown ground beef; drain.
Stir in salt, beans, sauce, sugar and onion; heat until bubbly.
Pour into 2-quart casserole dish.

Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 375°.
