Hungarian Pancakes
Hungarian Pancakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 large (about 2 lb.) potatoes, 1 small onion, 1 large egg, 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Preheat oven to 200Β°.
Line baking sheet with paper towels, two layers is best.
Wash, peel and coarsely grate potatoes and onion.
Stir in egg, flour, salt and pepper.
Heat 1/2 inch oil in large skillet over moderately high heat.
Drop heaping tablespoons of potato mixture into oil.
Flatten slightly with spatula and fry about 4 minutes, until edges are crispy.
Turn and cook about 1 minute more.
Remove to baking sheet and keep warm in oven. Repeat until all mixture is used.
Dollop on sour cream and pass applesauce.
