Hungarian Chicken Paprikas
Hungarian Chicken Paprikas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 large onions, chopped, 3 tbsp. crisco, 3 tbsp. hungarian paprika, 2 pieces chicken per person, skin removed and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Saute onion in Crisco until lightly brown.
Add chicken, paprika and enough water to almost cover.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and cook slowly until chicken is tender, approximately 30 minutes.
Mix flour and water along with sour cream; blend well.
Remove chicken, add cream mixture to drippings. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Serve over dumplings or noodles.
