Hummingbird Cake
Hummingbird Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 1/2 c. salad oil and 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and salad oil, stirring until ingredients are moistened.
Do not overbeat.
Stir in vanilla, pineapple, pecans and bananas.
Pour batter into three (9-inch) cake pans, floured and greased.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, oleo and vanilla together.
Add pecans.
Ice cake.
Keep cake stored in ice box.
Will keep for several days.
