Hot Water Pie Crust
Hot Water Pie Crust is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening or 1/3 c. oil and 1/4 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening or oil.
Add boiling water.
Blend well.
Divide in two.
Can chill, but not necessary. Roll between 2 sheets of wax paper.
Peel off one side and lay dough in pan.
Peel off other side and do what you usually do with pie dough.
Can be kept in fridge up to 2 weeks.
Just add a bit of boiling water and work up like it was before.
