Hot Water Cornbread
Hot Water Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. water, 1 1/2 c. green onion, chopped, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. sugar and 1 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Bring water to a boil with onion, salt, sugar and pepper. Remove from heat.
Combine cornmeals and add 1/3 to water in thin stream, stirring constantly, until very thick.
Vigorously stir in rest of cornmeal.
Cool to room temperature.
Form cornmeal mixture into 3-inch rounds 1/2-inch thick.
