Hot Mulled Cider
Hot Mulled Cider is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 c. apple cider or apple juice, 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, dash of ground nutmeg, 6-inch stick cinnamon and 1 tsp. whole allspice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In a large saucepan, combine apple cider or juice, brown sugar and nutmeg.
For spice bag, place cinnamon, allspice and the 1 teaspoon of cloves in cheesecloth and tie; add to cider mixture. Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove spice bag and discard.
Serve cider in mugs with a clove-studded orange wedge in each.
Makes 8 (8-ounce) servings.
